How to check the size and the DPI (PPI) of an image on Windows
Here’s the guide on how to check the size and the DPI (more accurately PPI) on Windows 10.

Locate the image file on the File Explorer
- Right-click on it and select Properties
- Go to the Details tab.
- The size and the DPI/PPI can be found under Width, Height & Horizontal resolution / Vertical resolution. For the DPI/PPI both numbers (horizontal and vertical) are normally the same.

Use Preview app, that is the native app to view photos on Mac, it offers photo file information too.
- Open image with Preview app.
- Head to Tools>Show Inspector.

Go to General Info to find the size under Image size and the image DPI under the Image DPI
